Murad Clinic Feature October 2025: Meet Rebecca Greaves. Director and Owner, Studio Rebecca Greaves, TAS
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Studio Rebecca Greaves in Devonport, and what an absolute vibe it is! Rebecca and her team are not only talented and professional, but also so much fun to be around. You’ll often find them jumping on social media to share their reviews of the best local cookies and bagels. It’s this mix of warmth, personality, and genuine passion for their clients that makes SRG such a special place. I sat down with Rebecca to hear more about her journey, the growth of her beautiful studio, and what’s next for her and the team.
Â
Rebecca, tell us a bit about your journey - what inspired you to open your own clinic, and how did Studio Rebecca Greaves begin?
Â
My journey in business started in 2020 when I opened my home salon from my parents’ house (thanks Mum and Dad haha). 4-5 months prior to this, I had switched from studying nursing to beauty when I picked up my first job in a salon and I absolutely fell in love with the industry. Unfortunately, my first salon experience was a stereotypically toxic environment but because I loved the work so much, I took the leap to go out on my own and focus on creating a better environment and career for myself. At the time when I first started my business, specialised brow services were really starting to take off, so this quickly became my focus and my niche. In 2022 I moved into a small beauty room that I rented from inside a hair salon, this was when I really started to feel the itch to keep growing SRG, but my passion was still travelling so I just had all these ideas of what I wanted to strive towards for when the timing was right. At the beginning of 2024 I decided it was time to expand the team and hired my first employee, Kass. At this point I was renting two beauty rooms within the hair salon - we quickly outgrew this space and our studio came up for rent right around the corner at the most perfect time. The perfect space with so much room to grow and expand our services. Moving into our new studio was when SRG really started to grow beyond my small brow & lash clientele who have been with me since the beginning. We connected with Murad and introduced our facial menu and Murad retail range along with a whole bunch of other new services, then we added another beautiful team member, Kasey. So here I am in 2025, with a team of 3, a clientele of hundreds of beautiful faces and a truly beautiful studio where all the magic happens. Its genuinely a dream come true!
Â
How has your business evolved since those early days as a home clinic?
Â
I spent the first few years of business truly trying to figure out myself, what I wanted to do and where I wanted to be. This meant moving away, moving home and travelling.. a lot... Then, in late 2023, after I had been off on my soul-searching adventures for a few years, I returned home feeling so content and honestly just ready.. I was ready to commit to my hometown and commit to growing my business, because during all the years of self-discovery, the one thing I was certain of was that this is my passion and it always has been where I am supposed to be and what I am supposed to do. So, I put out an ad and the most perfect employees just so luckily fell into my lap!
Â
What drew you to the Murad brand initially?
Â
I was drawn to Murad initially when I was renovating our first commercial studio - I knew we would be coming into quite a lot of space and was really keen to add a facial menu to our services. Murad was the only brand that were willing to listen to our ideas and support us by slowly introducing the brand to the studio. We are in a very small town in Tassie, so we knew that building our facial and skin clientele would be a slower process and Charlotte and the Murad team were more than willing to work with us, starting by stocking our pro back bar so we could get started with our new facial menu, then eventually allowing us to introduce our retail range. Not a single other skincare brand that we were enquiring with would allow this. So, I truly appreciated them hearing us out and the support they showed us along every step of the way. Now we cannot keep our retail products on the shelf… Our clients are just as obsessed with this brand as we are!!
Â
How has Murad helped shape or support your treatment menu, retail offering, or business approach overall? Do you have a favourite Murad product or treatment that you or your clients can’t live without?
Â
Our client’s favourite treatment would be the Hydrate and Glow treatment - it’s such a perfect pick-me-up especially during the Tasmanian winter when we are all feeling extra dry and crusty. And of course, the special Murad Method touches throughout the service is what makes it extra luxurious and relaxing. We currently cannot keep the Nutrient Charged Water Gel on the shelf, so in terms of the favourite client product - it is without a doubt this! Our clients love the gel like formula so they feel drenched with hydration but without being too heavy or greasy. My personal favourite Murad product is easily the Cellular Hydration Serum - I have never experienced hydration like it and now of course can’t live without it!
Â
What do you love most about leading your team and serving your community in Devonport?
Â
My favourite thing about leading my beautiful team is watching them flourish and grow from strength to strength in-front of my eyes, both professionally and personally. My girls aren’t just super talented at their craft but they are also such beautiful, funny and charismatic people. Our work days are truly the best and I know I can vouch for our clients in saying that they are always feeling better when they walk out than when they arrive and this isn’t just because their skin or their brows are looking better, but because of the overall experience they have with our truly amazing team. There is no feeling better than being in the studio in my moments of down time, listening to my girls chatting and laughing with their clients. It’s so special to have a space that feels so comfortable not just aesthetically but physically comfortable, where our clients and my staff can feel welcome, protected, relaxed and of course pampered!
Â
What has been one of your proudest moments in business so far?
Â
I think my proudest moment was definitely moving into our commercial space. It was always a dream of mine when I was in my home salon, I was always looking online at commercial rentals trying to picture myself with my own one day. So, finding the space we have now and being able to transform it exactly how I want to has been so exciting.
Â
What’s your vision for the future of Studio Rebecca Greaves? Anything exciting coming up?
Â
I am super happy with the path SRG is on as a business, the ideas never stop flowing and it really is such a passion of mine to bring these ideas to life. The skin side of the studio is well and truly taking off now so I think we will be leaning further into that and expanding our facial services. As well as a few new and fun other things in the pipeline for our service menu of course..
Â
Spending time with Rebecca and her team, it’s easy to see why Studio Rebecca Greaves has such a loyal following. The studio is beautiful, but it’s the laughter, energy, and care they bring that really makes it special. From chatting about skin to debating the best bagels in town, you can’t help but leave feeling lighter and brighter. I’m so excited to see where Rebecca takes SRG next—the passion and ideas never stop flowing, and I know whatever comes next will be just as inspiring (and fun) as the journey so far.
