More Than a Skin Event: Creating a Safe Space for Women to Be Seen, Heard & Supported

When Christy and I sat down to plan the relaunch event for Byron Eve @byroneveaus, I asked her a simple question: “What do you want people to walk away feeling?”
https://byroneve.com.au/
Her answer had very little to do with treatments, injectables, or skin trends.
She said she wanted the space to feel safe.
A place where women could openly talk about the changes they’re experiencing in their skin, their confidence, their hormones, and themselves… without judgement.
Supported by her husband Owen, incredible manager Sharon, dermal therapist Michelle, and the fabulous Saya, Zahlee and Scarlett, the evening felt less like a launch… and more like a genuine community gathering. Warm, welcoming, honest conversations happening everywhere you looked.
As a brand, this aligns so deeply with the philosophy behind Murad Skincare Australia and the work we’re doing around hormonal ageing, psychodermatology, and the connection between skin, stress, and wellbeing.
Because today’s clients aren’t just looking for a treatment menu.
They’re looking for someone who understands what they’re going through.
They want to feel safe enough to say:
- “My skin suddenly changed.”
- “Nothing works like it used to.”
- “I don’t feel like myself anymore.”
And clinics that create space for those conversations?
Those are the clinics building incredibly loyal communities.
What I loved most about this event was that it wasn’t built around selling. It was built around connection, education, and reassurance. The treatments, skincare and services became an extension of that support system rather than the starting point.
That’s where the magic is.

For other clinic partners considering hosting their own event: this is your reminder that you don’t need hundreds of people or an overproduced concept to make impact. Sometimes the most powerful events are simply the ones that make people feel understood.
Especially in the hormonal ageing space.
Women are actively searching for answers, support, and practitioners who genuinely “get it.” Creating events that open conversations around skin changes, stress, confidence, menopause, perimenopause, or wellbeing can position your clinic as far more than a treatment destination, it creates trust.
A huge congratulations again to Christy and the entire Byron Eve team on such a beautiful relaunch evening. It was incredibly special to witness a clinic lead with heart first.

And thank you to my wonderful Murad colleague Jaime for helping bring the night to life.
